My name is Randy Brown I am 51 years old. In May of 2022 I was involved in a horrific golf cart accident while working a Volunteer Fire Department golf tournament Fundraiser. At the time I was the Captain of a Volunteer Fire company we were hosting a 100th anniversary golf tournament to commemorate our 100th year of volunteer service to the community of Owings Mills Maryland. I personally do not remember the accident but my friends that were with me said that the golf cart I was driving malfunctioned going down a hill when I tried using the brakes it went faster and turned to the left and hit a tree, at which point the golf cart flipped throwing me over a 30 to 40 foot Cliff. My injuries sustained were multiple trauma injuries. The reason I am paralyzed still has the staff of Shock Trauma baffled. And all of the scans and x-rays they cannot find any reason why I am paralyzed other than when my aorta collapsed it cut the oxygen off to the lower half of my body. I have remained fairly upbeat through all of this. However the past two years have been the biggest struggles of my life. I had to retire from my favorite job I have ever had early. I have learned to do things over again from my wheelchair that a lot of people take things for granted when they do it. Simple tasks like doing the laundry or washing dishes are a big challenge. I pushed through and now with this new found passion of streaming games and making videos I continue to have something to look forward to weekly.
